I had a phone screen with the head of talent acquisition, which left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the interaction felt one-sided and unprofessional. She repeatedly asked about my background and experience without offering much—if any—detail about the role, team, or company culture. It came across as disorganized and showed little respect for the candidate’s time or preparation.
The experience made it difficult to gauge whether the opportunity was a good fit, and I left the call with more questions than answers.
If this is a standard part of their hiring process, it might be worth the company’s time to reassess how it's being handled, starting with their talent acquisition team.
