Interview
You do a headline and story test, which is timed. A few weeks later, you'll do a phone interview with a senior team member. After a few weeks, you'll have a phone interview with a couple of editors. The whole thing took several months.
Interview included talk with Recruiter, senior editor, then writing test. Overall average experience, fair writing assessment, good conversations. Experienced people interviewing, practical process, neutral feelings, nothing unusual or overly burdensome.

Interview
I met with the regional editor in a Starbucks in Westchester County. It was a very casual but straightforward interview. This was the only step and a few days later, she called and offered me the position.
