      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pareto (New York, NY) in Jul 2025

      Interview

There is an initial phone call detailing basic information about the position. If the phone call goes well, you are invited to an assessment day. This is a day, either virtual or in person, where they test you to see if you are a "successful" candidate. The average assessment day is around six hours. You will be asked to prepare a 3-minute pitch about why you'd excel in a sales role. From my experience, there were 21 people invited to the assessment day, and 6 of them were labeled "successful." As a "successful" recruit, there are two ways the rest of the interview process will unfold. It is likely that one will be trained by Pareto and outsourced to one of their clients who is looking to fill an entry-level sales position. There is a slim chance one will also be considered for an internal interview. I was considered for an internal, in-person interview with Pareto, and I was asked to create a 5-minute presentation. I met the team at their office in FiDi and, a few hours later, received a rejection phone call.

      Interview

Long winded for no real reason. Even if you make it all the way through, theres a big chance you will be ghosted by the company. Some would say its a good way to brush up on interview skills, but I would disagree.
