I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Paraform (San Francisco, CA) in May 2026
Interview
In general, Paraform wants high-autonomy full-stack devs who are strong in debugging and full end-to-end product development. They prefer to see breadth instead of depth in only 1 particular narrow thing so that you can do the actual job of doing whatever is necessary to ship and support products, and tie everything together. Expect to swallow and cut scope yourself rather than get specs or LeetCode-like problems handed to you.
1. Initial meet n greet
2. Mid-round in-depth full-stack debugging screen with NextJS
3. Onsite is a holistic half-day project to showcase your software development skills, end-to-end. Very self-driven and requires high autonomy.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you accomplish building this product? What is the value prop? What’s the general architecture you’re proposing for it? How do you plan to go about pacing yourself and developing features?
Interview consisted of navigating a buggy full stack web app, and pointing out major frontend, backend, and product design bugs. Once identified with the interview, major bugs were expected to be fixed.

My resume was picked up by their matchmaking mechanism, however, after 6 minutes into the interview I was told I am not a good fit. This speaks volume about their matching mechanism.
