I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Pappy's Pet Lodge (Plano, TX) in May 2015
Interview
it is a two step. first you having a working interview where you are testing on if you can do the day to day bs. then your second interview is with the Ceo or what ever. she asks you a lot of questions that every interview has and then you are either hired or told never mind
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pappy's Pet Lodge (New York, NY)
Interview
Told me to be there at certain time,
Wasn't even open nor did I have the code to get in the gate.
Finally slipped in after another employee.
Waited 30 minutes inside only to be handed a mop and told to mop for an hour.
No one spoke to me, couldn't even pet the dogs, and the interviewer was cold and ignorant.
All she asked was could I work Christmas, I said no (it was 6 months away) and then stared at me.
Biggest waste of time for me, but they got a spotless floor.
Considering you are working with animals, I would think seeing a potential employee play with dogs and interact with them is important. But they wouldn't let me get near them, even though I signed a waiver.
I'm the end, I walked away after she stared at me for 2 minutes.

They show you around the kennel. Have you vacuum & mop about 10 kennels. After that they bring you into daycare to see how you react with the dogs. That last about 5-10 minutes. Then you go back to the break room for them to ask you more questions. Before you leave you fill out a background check.
