I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at PNO Consultants in Jul 2024
Interview
I had 3 rounds of interviews with PNO chemistry netherlands. Initially we had very different salary scales in mind; I was told most consultants hold a PhD, but the salary offer was below a PhD salary during first year. When I explained my expectation I didn't hear back until I myself reached out to them again because I found the position still interesting and hoped for renegotiation. I asked for roughly what I earned as postdoc, around 55-60k.
Then I second round I was pretty much asked the same questions as before from the same recruiter. As a next step I talked to a senior consultant, but suddenly their requirements were very different and they wanted a native Dutch speaker (my level is b2, which was not enough for them and dutch proficiencies were never asked for).
Some weeks later I found a different job (Dutch speaking) and suddenly I received a message from pno again that they have no capacity for internationals at this point. I said thank you no worries, I took a better offer.
