Interviewed formally for Customer Services Role but was offered the operations administrative role after a 2nd informal interview with the operations manager for a new position the company had created

The Customer Services Manager who interviewed me first said I was over qualified for a customer services role, but she referred me to the The Operations Manager for a second interview. The Operations manager asked me - "why should we hire you"?
