      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PLOS (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2018

      Interview

This was a fairly standard interview process. After submitting my application, HR contacted me to setup a phone interview with the team supervisor. After the 30-minute phone interview, I was contacted for a follow-up interview at the office in San Francisco. The in-person interview included an "exam" portion followed by two interviews. The total interview was roughly 2 hours, and we had to cut it short.

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at PLOS in Nov 2021

      Interview

The interview process was in 3 stages and it took 8 weeks: 1. Initial 30 minutes video screening 2. Technical Interview (1 hour) + 30 minutes exam 3. Competency-based Interview (45 minutes) Offer came 2 weeks after the third stage.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      2. The exam part of the technical interview involved reading two research papers in 30 minutes to extract from both papers the subject area, hypothesis, study design, methods used, outcomes and conclusions. Questions bothering on understanding of these articles were asked afterwards. 3. Standard competency based questions to check experience on decision making, problem solving, communication, conflict management, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
