Interview
Began with an initial video call lasting 20 minutes with two members of the OUP team. For the second stage interview I was asked prepare a presentation which lasted around 30 minutes.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oxford University Press in Dec 2022
Interview
Odd interview experience. The interviewer expects the candidate to make assumptions about what the role is. Its weird as other interviews I have attended allows the candidate to ask about the role, instead of saying things like "didn't you read the job description". If you don't answer questions in the way they like (even if you addressed the points), they sarcastically make remarks like "I feel like I'm answering the question for you" or "thats not related to the education industry"(odd because product skills are transferable?). They also do not know what digital product managers are. At this level, we don't manage teams, we are individual contributors. If you want management experience, seek Senior Product Managers/Lead Product Managers, and pay them accordingly. Overall, an unpleasant experience and left a bad impression of the company and culture.
