I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Orillia Public Library (Orillia, ON) in Mar 2017
Interview
The interview was conducted by 3 staff members, including the hiring manager. They took turns asking prepared questions from their notes. The process was very cordial and welcoming. All of the questions seemed to me appropriate for the job in question. Some questions were quite general, about the roles and the value of a public library to the community it serves. Others were quite specific, about the kinds of reading programs I would be interested in developing, the kinds of research tools I would use, and similar topics.
