Orange Cyberdefense Netherlands interview questions

The initial HR interview included standard questions such as “Why Orange Cyberdefense?” and “Can you share your recent professional experience?”. When I asked about the salary range for the role, the HR said he did not know and would need to check with the hiring manager. The interview with the HM was recorded and it began with a question along the lines of: “I know I shouldn’t ask this, but how old are you?”. I was also asked several questions that did not seem relevant to the position, such as my food preferences and whether I eat meat or am vegetarian. Toward the end of the interview, the HM stop recording and asked about my stance on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, which felt inappropriate and unrelated to the role. The interview with the support manager was professional and went well. It was more technical in nature and aligned with the responsibilities of the position. The final interview was with the CIO and the hiring manager. At the beginning, I was asked about my salary expectations. After sharing a figure and asking whether it was within budget, I was told again that this would need to be checked—suggesting that neither HR nor the HM had any clarity on the salary range at that stage. The interview itself included questions such as “Why Orange Cyberdefense?”, “How do you work under pressure?”, and “What are the strengths and weaknesses of your current company?”. During the interview, the CIO was biting his nails while asking questions, which I found unprofessional.
