Interview
It was an average experience. Everything is expected. Most of the process is done online.
Actually now I think about it, it was quite fun. You just have to be yourself.

What do you do when you're in a situation you're unfamiliar with
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Optiver (London, England) in Nov 2024
Interview
After passing the OA, you have a standard interview with HR - CV, projects, why buy-side, motivation and so on. After that the nex interview is with a trader, and the whole interview is structured like a game. You are given different odds for various probability games, you start with a set number of points, and you can place different bets based on dislocations of the bets from their FV. You are time constrained and you strive to make as much money as possible without going bankrupt. The final round is very simililar but with more difficult games. Everything is about just probability and sizing your bets.

Question 1
Questions based on your decisions during the game (why did you place x for this cpecific game? What was the expected value of the bet?)
Play a few games all based on probability. They usually won't really talk during it and expect you to think of stuff. Be ready to calculate a lot of it.
