I applied through university. I interviewed at Optiver in Sep 2018
Interview
Just took an online math test. It was just simple mental arithmetic, nothing complicated, but they expect a lot of speed for medium size numbers so most people won’t pass unless they practice first.
I didn’t make the cutoff, and in retrospect probably wouldn’t have wanted to work somewhere where stuff like this matters too much. We have computers these days after all
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Optiver (Amsterdam) in Feb 2025
Interview
Lots of tests, programming not too bad, lots of brain teasers and games. Programming was 3 hacker rank questions. Also tested reaction time, probability, and sequences. Games were a little bit tedious.
