I applied through university. I interviewed at Optiver in Sep 2017
Interview
1st round was straight up integer mental math. It was an online test. I'm not entirely sure what the pass threshold is but I passed Akuna's (thought I did terribly) and didn;t pass Optiver's (thought I did ok) so who knows. Definitely prep for this. It's not rocket science but you probably won't be fast enough unless you drill it
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Exclusively mental arithmetic (integer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
Online assessment with a bunch of games, probability questions, and IQ test type stuff. First round live trading game. Second round live trading game with more variables and more participants. HR call. Final round click trading game.
OA followed by a behavioural interview then two technical interviews focusing on probability and trading games with limited information. After that would have been a Super Day but I was rejected following the second technical interview.
