The interview process consisted of 1:1 Phone Interview and a series of on-site interviews (UXD, BI, Engineering Leads, and CEO). The firm doesn't have anyone running product - the UXD lead is an interim CPO/Head of Product. The rest of the team even consistently remarked how there used to be a Product team prior to the acquisition (this begs a whole investigation as to why an entire Product team would leave altogether). I was not impressed with the quality of the questions. In fact, many members were struggling to find a particular question to ask. The re-occurring question was "What does social commerce mean to you?" which was obviously their thought after a series of failed experiments like 2Gather. To be successful on this interview, I would come in with a strong position and be committed to driving a particular direction that aligns with the strength of QVC's tv presence (even though you might not really believe in the value of emotional TV sales pull). The team got really lucky with the acquisition but I wouldn't put too much stock in their path forward.
