      Account Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at One10 in Mar 2025

      Interview

I applied for the role directly through their career page. During that time, the company was going through a business restructure, so the position was re-listed and I applied again. It took about three weeks to hear back for an initial interview with a recruiter. The interview was positive — they asked a mix of behavioral and creative personal questions, and the conversation flowed really well. I was quickly moved forward to meet with the hiring manager (or decision-maker). That interview was also positive; we had a great conversation. However, by the time I interviewed, the role had already been posted for well over 30+ days, which I brought up during the discussion. They explained the restructure but reassured me that they were looking to hire immediately. After my second interview, I received a thoughtful email from the hiring manager — not just a generic "nice to meet you" response — which initially made me feel optimistic. They mentioned that the process was taking longer due to travel but assured me they would stay in touch and thanked me for my patience. Over the next month, communication was extremely slow. After a week, I heard nothing. After two weeks, I followed up and received a reply stating the process was still ongoing, but they hoped to have decisions made by the end of the following week. Then, silence again for nearly another month, until I finally received a rejection email from the recruiter. The final rejection email felt templated — it didn't acknowledge anything specific from our conversations and seemed to have been sent to multiple candidates at once. Overall, I was left feeling that I had been dragged along and "kept on ice" while other candidates were prioritized. In hindsight, it doesn't seem like I was seriously considered beyond the initial conversations, despite positive feedback early on. The interviews themselves were enjoyable, but the lack of timely communication and transparency around their hiring timeline made for a frustrating and disappointing experience.
