I scheduled an interview for the end of December. Today, my interviewer rescheduled the interview to one week earlier. She emailed me saying, "I actually want to talk to you sooner. Please accept the invite if you can make the new time".
While I was open to rescheduling, my interviewer did it unprompted without asking me beforehand. She seems to have gone for the "Ask for forgiveness and not for permission" approach. It makes her come off as saying, "We are conducting this interview on MY terms, not yours". It is unprofessional towards candidates.
Perhaps the company culture is like this as well. I would apply here with caution.
