      Interview

I recently interviewed with this company and walked away with nothing but frustration and a profound lack of respect for their hiring process. Let me break down the sheer unprofessionalism. It started with the initial recruiter screen. The recruiter who called me was dry, exhausted, and seemed genuinely put out by having to speak with another candidate. There was no warmth, no curiosity about my background, just a robotic script being read by someone who clearly had one foot out the door. In hindsight, that should have been my first red flag. Her behavior was so disengaged that I can only assume she was already mentally (or literally) on her way out of the company. Turns out she was. Then came the in-person interviews. To their credit, the actual interviewers came across as mostly professional during the nearly three hours I spent with them. We had substantive conversations, and I walked out feeling like I had invested real time and energy into a company that might take this process seriously. Spoiler: they do not. After investing almost three hours of my time, plus prep, travel, and follow-up, they ghosted me completely. No update, no "we're still deciding," no courtesy note. Nothing. I waited a couple of weeks, then reached out myself to check on the status. I was told I was "still in the running." And then came radio silence forever. Not even a generic, automated rejection email. No "thanks but no thanks." Just the sound of crickets. This kind of behavior is not just lazy. It is unprofessional and deeply disrespectful to candidates. We are not disposable resumes. We are people who rearranged our schedules, took time off work, and showed up ready to contribute to your company. If your HR department operates with this little regard for basic decency and follow-through, it is not a glitch. It is a sign of the company's overall attitude. If this is how you treat candidates, I can only imagine how you treat your employees once they are inside. Do yourself a favor and take your talents elsewhere. These people do not deserve your time.
