I applied in-person. I interviewed at O'Brien Auto Group (Kirkland, WA) in May 2025
Interview
The process was so intense. They had everyone in a room fill out an introduction sheet then gave us a big speech about how this job can make you $10K a month (debatable). Then we all had to speedrun 2 minute interviews in front of the whole room while the General Manager sat at the front of the room. Then at the end, the recruiter excused people by name till I was the last person left in the room. The recruiter proceeded to tell me that I was not moving to the second interview round and asked if I wanted feedback, I replied yes, then he baited me and told me I secured the next interview. He admitted the next day that he did that to certain applicants as a test to see objection handling. Overall, chaotic experience.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at O'Brien Auto Group (New York, NY) in Mar 2019
Interview
The people were very nice and welcoming. Because I had been working in the industry for a year already, and had a couple of former co-workers recommend me, I was immediately offered a position and we began the paperwork process. This happens a lot in the industry because people tend to move around a lot as they become dissatisfied with what they are making or with management practices. Almost all co-workers at that time were new within six months at that time, including management.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at O'Brien Auto Group
Interview
The interview process was strange, spanned from 9am-5pm for FOUR days, unpaid. Started with a group of 20 recruits until 6 of us were hired on. Every day there were eliminations based on how you answered questions about yourself/previous employment.
