      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Numerator (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2019

      Interview

The interview process was arduous but enjoyable. There was an assessment a case study and then a case study presentation in which I could also ask questions of the panel interviewing me. I enjoyed the phone interview with the recruiter, who also maintained great communication throughout the process and I also had a phone interview with the hiring manager prior to proceeding to the case study and test.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Numerator in Sep 2023

      Interview

Recruiter, hiring manager, case study, presentation. Everything was going quick & smoothly until after my presentation. Took several weeks to hear back from recruiter (when had been used to hearing next steps several days after each stage). Once I did hear back she explained how there were doing a slight re-org and the hiring manager I previously interviewed with/presented to no longer was hiring this role but there was another team that was and she "thought I would be a great fit" for. Recruiter then stated that I wouldn't need to "re-interview" or present my case study, rather have a meet and greet with the team where I was assured I would not be answering questions regarding case study or methodology for the original presentation 3+ weeks ago. I was expecting this to be a more culture-fit type convo however was met with in depth questions regarding my case study and methodology questions as well as data-specific questions regarding past projects (5+ years ago) from when I worked for a comp data company. By EOD I heard from recruiter saying while it was clear I had skillset, they would not be extending offer. She offered to report back feedback after she met with team, however after following up 3x, I heard nothing back. Disappointing due to the fact the language to my understanding was that if original hiring manager was recommending me to another team and I was only scheduled for a meet and greet, that it was more than likely I got the job. Obviously not the case.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Numerator (Chicago, IL) in May 2022

      Interview

Overall great experience. Very quick and decisive. Good people all around! A day or two after applying, took a cognitive assessment. Next day had phone screen with recruiter. After that, was given a case study to prepare with about a week of work time. They were flexible on timing. Had an informal phone interview with the hiring manager after being given the case study. I turned in my case study presentation and then presented a few days later. Got the offer two days after that. Overall, the case study was a great way to get a feel for the role and show my skills. Company then gets a better feel for potential fit than a traditional interview. The study is a raw dataset that you analyze to answer some prompted questions and make a recommendation. Deliverable is a short slide deck that you present to a small panel. Case study is appropriately challenging but if you’re skilled with Excel or, better yet, programming, it’s doable. Presentation was easier than a traditional interview after putting in the work on the case study. Questions throughout the presentation mainly on methodology and other probing questions.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Numerator (New York, NY) in Jul 2021

      Interview

      1. Phone interview with the HR - relevant experience, background, why Numerator? 2. Phone interview with the hiring manager - relevant experience, how would you do this and that? what motivates you? how do you solve problems? 3. Business case - gave me a business case using Panel data, and had 3 business days to solve it, and then send it to them. They liked my solution so arranged the video presentation. 4. Video presentation of the case via Zoom - there were 4-7 people on the call, don't remember the exact number. I presented my PPT deck and they were mostly listening, at the end got asked just 3 basic questions which was an indicator that they didn't like my presentation or something. 5. Couple days later got a rejection email saying the team didn't like my presentation, i.e.e the solution of the case was good but the presentation part and delivery wasn't good.
