I must say, the interview process with NOVO was a wonderful experience. First step was the phone interview. I was asked the typical questions about my current job, why I was deciding to leave my current company, and what interested me in working for NOVO. A brief overview was given about the company and the property I would be working. Based on my continued interest, a face-to-face interview was scheduled.
What I loved most is that I was interviewed by the Regional, a Partner, the Property Manager, and the HR Manager. While it was a bit nervous to be at a table with so many of the companies "hard hitters", I became more relaxed as the interview progressed. They are definitely interested in your job history, skills, and what you can bring to the table but they also just want you to just be yourself. Bring your industry knowledge but don't be so nervous that you forget your personality at home :-)
This company really has something special. The size, the atmosphere, the diversity, and the cohesiveness of the senior management team all make NOVO a desirable company to consider working for. Unfortunately I was not offered the job because my salary requirement was a bit higher than they budgeted for, which is understandable. HR was sure to communicate this to me as soon as possible. Communication in general was stellar.
