Anonymous interviewer,
We appreciate your feedback, as we are a company that is always looking to grow and improve. The preliminary interview is the first step to our 3 part interview process. This interview is brief because it is just to decide if both parties feel it would be a good initial fit. Although, we are confused because during the preliminary interview we talk about the position, as well as the company history for the entire 2nd part of the interview.
In regards to the 2nd round interview, which is facilitated by someone in the leadership position. The cool part about the company is that interviewing and talent scouting is something that one learns throughout the training process. A large part of the 2nd round interview is to see how a candidate would interact with other people, since that is a large part of the position, which is why we take them out to lunch. We are a bit humored by your statement about 'not giving away to many secrets' because they explain everything about the position, as well as give you multiple opportunities to ask questions about the position.
The questionnaire after lunch is meant to test the candidates student mentality, as we are looking for a candidate that is attentive, and that wants to learn and grow, which requires someone who will pay attention.
If you have further questions, do call the office, as it seems you didn't take advantage of the multitude of opportunities during the interview process to get the clarification you wanted.
Best of luck.
HR Department.
