      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Oct 22, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Vilnius
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nord Security (Vilnius) in Oct 2025

      Interview

The overall impression, as well as the impression from each stage of the recruitment process, was very positive. First of all, I received a clear, understandable, and transparent invitation to the interview from Skaistė Marija. The meeting was scheduled immediately. The next step — and one that remained present throughout the whole process — was my conversation with Razmik. I remember it very fondly, which doesn’t mean it lacked challenging questions that required me to pause and think carefully. At the end of that call, I was offered two options for the technical task. I chose the “home assignment.” After completing it, I received detailed and constructive feedback — both pros and cons — followed by an interview with the technical team. The task itself gave me a lot of freedom in architectural decisions, and the interview felt like a thorough and professional code review. Afterwards, I once again received feedback from Razmik and was invited to meet the team I would be working with. That meeting was very satisfying — everyone was clearly focused on teamwork and open communication. The feedback I received right after was quick and positive. The offer followed just as swiftly, and so now I’m happily looking forward to finalizing the contract :-) Honestly, I can’t find any negatives, but if I really have to mention one — there was a brief issue with the meeting link, which Skaistė Marija resolved immediately :-) This was the best recruitment process I’ve experienced so far, though undoubtedly demanding and challenging (which, in fact, is a plus).

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The interview focused on both technical and work-style aspects, so I’d say it’s good to be ready to discuss your experience and how you approach problems — rather than expecting tricky or textbook questions.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Dec 7, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Warsaw, Masovia
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Nord Security (Warsaw, Masovia) in Nov 2025

      Interview

Technical Coding Interview I’ve received feedback that I spent too much time preparing my solutions, which limited the time available for the remaining tasks. However, I wasn’t informed by the interviewers about the expected number of tasks to complete, nor was it mentioned during the interview that I should work more quickly. I approached the tasks intentionally this way. By taking time to plan my solutions before coding, the interviewers were able to better assess my thought process — which they highlighted as positive feedback. They also mentioned that my knowledge is mostly focused on frontend development. But when I asked whether this role would allow me to go beyond frontend work, they said the role is primarily focused on frontend. I find this somewhat contradictory.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Mar 24, 2025

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

Disrespectful and Unprofessional Hiring Process I had a positive first interview with HR—the conversation flowed well, and the vibes were there. After that, I was given a technical assessment with a deadline of one week. I took the challenge seriously, spent my entire weekend working on it, and planned to submit it early. On the fifth day, before my deadline, I received a message from HR stating they had already hired someone. No warning, no courtesy update—just a complete waste of my time. If they had already made a decision, why ask candidates to spend hours on an assignment? This kind of disorganized and inconsiderate hiring process shows a lack of respect for candidates’ time. I’d advise future applicants to be cautious before investing effort in their assessments here.
