Interview
The entire interview process took about two weeks but could have been shorter based on my availability. Noom is extremely thorough and one of the most in depth interviews I have gone through. I really appreciate the attention to detail and investment of time in the hiring process. After the initial application, you are prompted to answer a few situational questions and submit a 1 minute video of why you would be a good fit. Once that’s complete then an offer to schedule a 1 hour mock coaching session is extended through a google doc. I was extremely nervous for this part. Even though I’ve been in the health and wellness industry for over 6 years I still did my research/practiced different scenarios before this session. I really didn’t need to but it calmed my nerves to be as prepared as possible. My interviewer was so nice and gave the best advice to just be yourself. I heard back within an hour to schedule a 30 minute one on one session for the next day. This part of the interview was the most typical and standard. You get to talk about yourself and your background as well as your experience. I got to ask questions about the company and the position. It was all very informative. I heard from HR within an hour of this interview and got the unofficial offer. The official offer came a few days later.

Question 1
For the mock coaching session, be prepared to guide the conversation and not lead. This is an opportunity for the client to tell you all about themselves and their struggles. You are there to help them navigate their goals and come up with their own solutions by utilizing heath coaching techniques. It’s your time to shine!
After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
