I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Noom (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2018
Interview
The process was quick and easy. It started with a 10 minute face to face video chat, followed by an hour of mock coaching. The person who interviewed me was extremely nice and helpful. Once we entered the mock coaching phase, it became evident that she was going to be playing one of the most difficult people you may encounter within the app. Which was good and bad. Good, because they are getting to see how you speak during very personal responses from clients. Bad, because it became pretty unrealistic... I’ve been working in this industry for 10 years and never on the first encounter have I had a conversation get so deep and personal. Also, they do leave it a but open ended once you’ve concluded your session. They copy and paste a response that says you’ll be hearing from them in a couple days and that’s it. No further communication.
After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Question 1
Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
