I applied through other source. I interviewed at Nexient in Oct 2020
Interview
I reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn to learn more about the company culture and she agreed to a scheduled meeting the next day.
When the time came she was a half hour late to the point I reached back out on LinkedIn to see if everything was okay and/or if she needed to reschedule, 5 minutes later she called and her reply was "I didn't write it down", I said no worries, it happens.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nexient (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
The process started as a call with a recruiter. They were great to work with and everything was going great until salary was brought up. I was told they would only be open to paying around $40,000 - $45,000 a year. This surprised me as that is very low even for a junior developer. I eventually got a job that pays around double that, with the same experience!
I begrudgingly continued with the process as I was fairly desperate at the time. The next steps were an interview with a developer and an hr manager. These were fairly straight forward, but both of them seemed unprepared for the interview. I talked about my projects and technologies I work with and answered some STAR questions.
After some positive feedback, I received no response for a while. I then get a call from the recruiter, who tells me that the position is closed and they are using an internal team to take it over.
