      Interview

The interview process went smoothly and efficiently, got an offer within 2 weeks. The hiring manager was very nice, and since I was not in CA most of my interview was video. Everyone was pretty nice and professional.

      Interview

This was possibly the most unprofessional company I've met with. Long, drawn out, lack of transparency. Multiple video calls with people, each time saying that it was the last step in the process. Additional meetings kept being added on that were supposedly 15 minute meet and greets that would extend to over an hour. They then last minute required me to come onsite (odd since I'd been in process for over 2 months and it had never been asked or mentioned)... It was a last minute addition to the process so that I could "see the office" and understand why it's not a "sexy" place to work and make sure I would still be interested. Again, seeing an office is totally normal, although, I'll admit a bit odd to require the company to work onsite when we're in a pandemic and under stay-at-home orders and if this was part of the long, drawn out process, should have been done early in the conversations. The team knew I had another offer on the table and handed me a full time offer when I was onsite. I accepted the offer, signed the letter and within hours of my returning the signed offer letter, I was contacted to let me know that they've had a "company reorg and the role was no longer needed." I had already turned down the other offer and when I noted that they knew I had another offer on the table and that a reorg doesn't just happen overnight, they must have had insight, the response was "yeah, we're really sorry about that." Overall, the process was extremely unprofessional and I would highly recommend they take a lesson in professionalism and sensitivity. It's not ok to mess with people's lives, especially during a pandemic.
