Application
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Neurotrack (Palo Alto, CA (US)) in March 2014.
Interview
I was referred to this company by a recruiter and got a phone interview a few days later from an employee. It appeared he had not looked at my resume before calling me so I told him where I had worked last and the kind of work I did. They had at first wanted to do a video skype interview. I thought this would be an invasion of my privacy and told them I didn't have a camera on my computer. After all, if they really wanted to have a face-to-face meeting I could easily visit their office. During the interview I was sent a google hangout link that had the description of a code problem. While I was doing it the interviewer kept trying to talk to me on the phone. I found this distracting so I told him I was hanging up and he should call me when I was finished. About 5 minutes later I sent a message telling him to call me back. Another 5-10 minutes later he called me back. He didn't understand the language I used to solve the problem so I explained it line by line
