      TAG Specialist Interview

      Aug 26, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nestlé

      Interview

Received a cold call from a recruiter in the middle of the work day requesting a call back regarding the position. Didn't receive any email communication from recruiter- have a busy work schedule so was not able to call back immediately. Received a call again the next day- again without checking if I was available to speak at that time. On the third day I received an email from ANOTHER recruiter requesting times to schedule the panel interviews, which is the second step of Nestle's recruiting process AFTER a phone call, except I haven't even had a chance to complete the phone call because the recruiter just keeps calling me whenever he pleases. Also now I am not clear on who the point of contact is for this position with Nestle. I called back the first recruiter the next day- this time the recruiter didn't answer. I emailed the second recruiter and asked who the point of contact is, and they replied saying it was the first recruiter. The first recruiter then emails me and says "I'll call you tomorrow"- AGAIN not specifying a time. As can be expected from someone who has a full time position, I once again CANNOT answer his call in the middle of my workday without scheduling it in advance. He leaves a voicemail again and this time he seems agitated and says that they are moving very quickly with the interview process so if you don't call back you won't be considered. I email him later in the day saying that I am free to speak on the next day morning at a specific time, and he replies saying "Unfortunately I am not. " And essentially says that they are moving forward and if they need more candidates they will reach out again. Apparently bullying, pressure and coercion tactics are common ways of recruiting for Nestle. The recruiters represent the face of the company, so can't say that I'm disappointed about not getting the position if this is the way they treat people before they even get hired.
