Interview
Called in for a in-person interview. Spoke with both the manager and engineering head together. The company is a start-up environment and made it seem like everyone wore multiple hats. Made it seem that a job with the company after 6-month contract was promising.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Didn't ask any tricky questions. Mainly asked about what engineering background I had (including projects, internships, ect.) Seemed like they wanted to make sure whoever they were hiring had engineering background/knowledge.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Nanomix (Emeryville, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Excellent initial communications with the VP of engineering- had very good questions, but the hiring manager did not know what they were really looking for so they were struggling for the questions to be on target. The caliber of the employees was excellent and the atmosphere was positive. Some of the people could have been more warm.
