I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NVR (Richmond, VA) in May 2023
Interview
The first step in the interview process is to complete an online assessment, assessing basic reasoning skills. After that, you'll be contacted about setting up an interview with several different NVR folks. My interview was held virtually, but was originally scheduled for in-person, with the team having to pivot due to illnesses. The interview took about an hour and a half total, and I spoke to 4 to 5 different people.

Question 1
Are you a competitive person? Are you okay with being measured by metrics?
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at NVR (Beltsville, MD)
Interview
The person who interview me was clear that did not want to be there and not only that but he started the call not even saying hello but criticizing my voicemail, what? Then he answer everything with yes/no, there was no “conversation”. He kept saying this is a very professional company but from his side he was arrogant, passive aggressive, boring, robot like, abrupt, rude, why was he even there? I was so excited to interview and he ruined it. Who hired that person, ridiculous.

Question 1
When I asked him to tell me about the company, he said “go and do research and tell me if this is something you like to do” who is he, to tell me, what I can or can’t do? I didn’t say anything exactly because I wanted to test him to what he would say and he was so arrogant and rude.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NVR in Dec 2023
Interview
Came in from a staffing agency. Met with two on-site managers who were very friendly for an hour. I declined to proceed further after they told me there was toxicity and drama and all the processors were new. Major red flags. You have to be really metric oriented and competitive for this role and it wasn’t a good fit. Be prepared for an hour interview with two managers and then a second hour round immediately after.
