I interviewed at NJ Biopharmaceuticals (Princeton, NJ)
Interview
I recently went through a lengthy interview process with NJ Biotechnologies that lasted nearly three hours. The company scheduled four back-to-back interviews, during which I was asked a wide range of detailed questions covering my background, project management experience, and ability to align with their business needs. Throughout the process, they emphasized the urgency of filling the position, which made me believe they were moving quickly toward a decision.
However, after the interviews, I did not receive any feedback for almost a month. Eventually, I was informed that they had decided to move forward with candidates they felt aligned more closely with their priorities. While I respect their decision, the lack of timely communication was disappointing, especially after such a demanding interview process.
This experience reinforced for me the importance of transparency and consistent communication during hiring. Candidates invest significant time and energy preparing for interviews, and prompt feedback—even if it’s a “no”—shows respect for that effort and helps maintain a positive impression of the company.
