      Production Assistant Interview

      Feb 19, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NBCUniversal in Feb 2017

      Interview

glassdoor I was invited to complete a short video interview. The process consisted of using a webcam to answer six questions, a minute given to answer each one. Luckily the website the interview is conducted on gives you a practice question which you can watch and listen to. Initially I started on my laptop, but because my laptop is almost 7 or so years old, the sound and visual quality was terrible. So I decided to switch to my smart phone where I had to download the app which was quick and easy. They give you 30 seconds to read the question on the screen and prepare your answer. There's a timer in the corner which counts you down and let's you know when the recording starts. So you're not talking to another person or anything. Just you looking at yourself on camera and trying to squeeze everything you want to say in a minute. It certainly was a challenge for some of the questions. I hope I did well enough to receive an in-person interview soon because I would be really excited to have that opportunity.

Karamo Show Production Assistant specifically for casting. I had a connection that got me the interview but did pretty poorly, so stopped at the 1st interview. They seemed very busy and had some candidates already in mind.
