      Compensation Analyst Interview

      Aug 15, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Jul 2017

      Interview

The Interview Process moved quickly from the initial phone call to the in-person interview. I met with 3 people separately in person with one additional interviewer dialing in for each meeting. The 3 interviews covered both behavioral and technical questions, and all the interviewers shared a lot of information about the company and the position. Afterward, I did not hear back until I sent a follow-up email a week later.

      Question 1

      How do you stay organized?
      Answer question

      Question 2

If given a large data set that had no clear pattern, how would you go about analyzing it in Excel?

      Compensation Analyst Interview

      Sep 19, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2016

      Interview

The phone interview was easy and relaxing. The recruiter was friendly and fairly new to the company so she thought for a while when I asked her questions about NBC Universal. However, the recruiter never replied to emails after the phone screening. I never received a rejection email either; I had to go online to see my application status to know that I have been rejected for this position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What have you been doing recently? What is your career direction? What Excel functions do you know? Do you know how to use Excel pivot tables and z-lookup? What is your expected salary? Are you willing to relocate? Is your schedule flexible for the next interview? What do you want from this job?
