Four steps process (well, 3 and a half): recruiter phone screen, interview with the hiring manager and another panellist, take-home case study and culture fit with somebody outside the team.
It’s a long-ish and relatively time consuming process, to be sure, but now that I am “on the other side” I understand why they do it: the company has managed to build and maintain a great culture, even now that they have scaled up substantially, so it’s really important to ensure that new hires are a match.
I have been successful and I am very happy about the time I put in, but I do understand how it might be a little frustrating to unsuccessful candidates that make it through the final stage.
One thing I was impressed by was the ongoing, prompt communication throughout the process, as it made me feel like I knew exactly where I stood and what I could expect next. All the team members involved at the various stages made me feel at ease, while being knowledgeable and friendly, giving me the impression that MyTutor would be a great place to work.
