      Product Maanager Interview

      Aug 24, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      West Palm Beach, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at MyBambu (West Palm Beach, FL) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Timeline: Initial contact: January Process conclusion: March Follow-up: July Positive Aspects: Multiple interview rounds, including conversations with high-level executives (CTO, COO, & CEO) Thorough vetting process, including reference checks and background checks (although should be done if *actually* hiring) Negative Aspects: Poor Communication: * Lack of responsiveness to follow-up emails * Extended periods of silence (ghosting) after initial interactions Disorganized Process: * References had to repeatedly contact HR due to oversight * Inconsistent information provided about the position status Lack of Transparency: * Initially told the position was "on hold" due to "conversion" * Later informed the position had been filled without any prior notification Time-Consuming: * Multiple rounds of interviews and extensive paperwork * Significant time investment from candidate without reciprocation Unprofessional Conclusion: * No formal closure or feedback provided * Candidate left in limbo for months My experience: The interview process at MyBambu was disappointingly unprofessional and disorganized. Despite initial promising interactions, including interviews with high level executives, the company failed to maintain clear communication or respect for my time. The extended periods of silence, followed by vague explanations and ultimately learning the position had been filled months later, left a very negative impression. This experience suggests a lack of regard for potential employees and raises concerns about MyBambu's overall professionalism and organization. I would not recommend this company to other job seekers, as the hiring process demonstrates a lack of respect for candidates' time and effort. Potential applicants should be prepared for a potentially frustrating and drawn out experience with little to no closure.
