Interview
Was emailed after an online submission through their website. They said they loved my background and wanted to learn more about my skills. Then, they asked if I would complete a short sample piece for them (it would not be a paid writing test).
It’s never a good idea to write for someone for free; that’s what your portfolio is for. Nevertheless, I was interested to see what type of content they would have me writing, so I responded to the email on the same day and said I’d be willing to do the writing sample for them.
They completely ghosted me and never responded to my email even though they reached out to me first and I responded immediately. Incredibly disrespectful of my time and candidacy. If this is how they treat applicants, I can only imagine how they treat employees.
Update: I finally got a response more than a week after posting this review. However, upon asking for specifics about what they were looking for in their sample, I was greeted with short, passive aggressive emails and responses what couldn’t even bother to spell my name correctly. Again, as a potential employee I am being treated with very minimal respect, and I wouldn’t advise applying here if you respect your time, your skills, and yourself.

We would love to learn more about your interview process as we believe we send updates to sample request candidates frequently.
