The interview process with Moog was thorough, but enjoyable! The first round was the usual "screening with the recruiter to make sure you're a good fit". The next several rounds were with the direct supervisor, the dotted line functional area boss, and then the final two before in the in-person were with the high level execs in the functional area. The in-person, we went back to the direct supervisor and dotted line for more practical interactions with employees on-site.
There was one hiccup in the process where I was told that the next step was the in-person, then there was a week+ of radio silence. Just when I had given up on hearing back, they reached back out for the 2 interviews with the executive level individuals. Not going to lie, it threw me for a little loop, but it was later explained that there was a minor shift in the process mid-stream, which my career coach explained can, and does, happen.
With that said, everyone involved from start to finish was professional, respectful, and wonderful to interact with! They were knowledgeable in their respective areas, and enthusiastic about hiring someone into the role.
Once the offer was on the table, the salary negotiations were brief, but extremely productive; and, those conversations demonstrated that this company was earnest in their desire to get someone on-board once they made a decision.
Overall, it was a great experience, with the outcome being that I accepted the position, and after being here for a month and a half, I can say it was one of the best career choices I have ever made!
