I applied online. I interviewed at Montezuma's Chocolates in Feb 2026
Interview
I recently interviewed for a Graphic Design role at Montezuma’s and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
The recruiter did not attend our first scheduled interview and there was no prior notice. The call was eventually rescheduled for later that same day, but it was not a great first impression.
During that initial conversation, I was repeatedly told that I would be a great fit for the team, which naturally raised my expectations. However, after that first-stage interview I heard nothing for two weeks. I had to follow up four separate times before eventually receiving a rejection email.
After that length of time and lack of communication, the outcome was not surprising. What was disappointing was the absence of clear, timely communication and a more professional candidate experience.
Candidates invest significant time and energy into interviews. A little more transparency and respect for applicants’ time would go a long way.
