Applied on LinkedIn via EasyApply. Recruiter was great and moved with urgency. It was clear they were looking for a warm body & that they didn’t value career growth. Role described as long hours, no company structure or long terms plans other than “growth.” Interview with CEO was 5 minutes, as he was disengaged and had zero questions for me. Rejection email came via LinkedIn message 3 weeks later. Yikes.
First round interview was standard and went great. Second round interview the person interviewing me started lecturing me about how lucky I am to be at my current job even thought it’s not what my background or career goals are in at all. Started giving me unnecessary advice on how to network at my current job. Sucks because I was genuinely interested in the position but felt I wasn’t given the time of day due to the current position I hold.
