I was brought in as a direct hire due to military spouse preferential hiring. I spoke informally with my soon to be supervisor, but otherwise did not have a formal interview like most federal job interviews.

Interview
The hiring process started at the career fair at Virginia Tech. I was brought into an interview with two current MSC engineers. They asked me both technical and general interview questions. Next, I was invited to DC in which I had a "hot seat" type interview process in which I was interviewed for about an hour by 8 people in total.

Interview
Interviewed with various different levels, starting with technical interview and ending up with the director. Initial contact was phone interview. Behavioral and technical questions. They were looking for a good fit for existing team.
