      Human Resources Manager Interview

      Aug 2, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microgen in Jun 2017

      Interview

Shambles. Interview room was so far from reception and the interviewer practically SPRINTED to it, leaving me carrying my coat and bag and glass of water (top tip: provide the candidate with a refreshment in the room where the interview will be held so they don't then have to carry it!). No structure to the questioning at all. Interviewer seemed out of her depth (director level) dealing with a candidate within her own field (HR). Did not inspire at all. In fact, she did her best to dumb down the role and even criticise it as being less interesting than it sounded. Another interviewer (HR also, junior) was present but was utterly useless and a complete waste of space. Neither interviewer was dressed even remotely smartly. Second interviewer was wearing an off the shoulder top: looked like she was ready for a ho-down in a barn. Did not represent the company well at all.
