This interview was pretty standard for what you'd expect at the University. If you are the most qualified for the job, and there are no other internal candidates equally qualified (if you have worked internally you get preference), they will let you know if you are the top candidate. It usually takes a month or so for HR to figure out all the ins and outs and get you hired in. It was faster for me as I was a student at the time and had already worked through UofM during an internship. Keep in mind each department and group within the university will have different interview styles and approaches.
