I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Michaels (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2015
Interview
I came into the store... I asked one of the workers who were working at the registers and they called in and they seem like they didn't even know one of the managers I was SUPPOSE to meet was interviewing. So I waited in the ClassRoom and a woman comes in and introduces herself. But she says that the head manager who was suppose to interview me just couldn't make it today. It was fine... although she asked me what I liked about Micheals and as i was speaking she interrupted me. I guess she was busy. But I prefer people to get know me a little bit more. Or at least let me talk.
Easy and quick, pretty laid back process. It's an initial phone call to screen/schedule an in person interview and then the in person interview lasted about 15 minutes. Pretty conversational and standard questions.
Fast. Very friendly. Questionnaire!!!! But process goes quick. Manager is friendly and interview went fine. Super friendly conversation. Seasonal is easier to enter. After season is over it is easy to stay as a permanent employee.
