I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Methid in Sep 2021
Interview
Few zoom rounds with the founder, going through data types and ML applications. One round was email-based, answering some questions to test written communication skills. Others were phone-based discussing vision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some questions revolved around ML development methodologies for computer vision problems. Others were case-study style working through how you would approach and solve somewhat familiar real-world problems with parallels to what the company is trying to accomplish.
The process consisted of a series of discussions about ML/CV concepts and my background with the founder, and then a take-home exercise where I was asked to read a CV paper I'd never seen before and answer a series of questions about it. The ML/CV questions asked were quite thorough, reflecting the founder's strong knowledge of the field. It was a very good experience overall - the take-home exercise was the most interesting interview I had during my job search and the quality of the entire process convinced me to accept the offer.
