      Actuarial Consultant Interview

      Mar 6, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Bridgewater, NJ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MetLife (Bridgewater, NJ) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Phone screen interview and then an in-person interview with 3 people. I originally applied for a position that I was not qualified for. When I went through the phone screen, I mentioned that I did NOT have my ASA and to let me know if there was an opening for something more entry-level because I didn't want to waste mine or the companies time. They called me back for an in-person interview. I was very confused because they never mentioned anything about my qualifications and not having an ASA. The recruiter didn't have much information for me either (didn't want to take a PTO day for a position I wasn't qualified for).I ended up going to the inveriew. I had an interview with the VP of the group I applied for, a team member and then the hiring manager last. When I interviewed with the hiring manager, that was when I found out I was being interviewed for a different position. I wish I would have known from the beginning. Anyways, all of the interviews were very laid back. No hard interview questions, just feeling me out. I was extended an offer the next day.
