I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Merck in Jan 2017
Interview
It was casual, 6 ppl talked and asked questions in turn. And it was phone interview. I think the questions they cared about focus on bayesian knowledge but I do not have much experience in it.
Technical questions. Honestly I dont think people code from scratch anymore. What is the point of asking SQL and python questions? As long as I have logic LLM can help me with them.
Engaged in a productive 40-minute discussion with the potential team, we thoroughly explored the intricacies of the research project, fostering a collaborative exchange of ideas, strategies, and valuable insights. Time to ask them questions.
Be ready for any questions about your resume. So you have to be familiar with your resume as possible as you can. Try to communicate with the interviewer instead of thinking it as an interview.
