Interview
3 interviews with good conversation. There were some definite red flags throughout the process though, like the hiring manager was telling how they will be firing the current OM in a few weeks and that I will replace her. She even gave me her name and the reasons why this person is getting fired which I felt that was pretty unprofessional and unnecessary, she had no reason to tell me all this. It was not a good look from a work culture perspective. I got offered the job but I asked them to match another job offer I had on the table (I asked for about 10% more than the initial offer). Both the hiring manager and the recruiter's tones changed and they seemed like they were offended that I would even ask. The recruiter told me that they didn't want a candidate that was entertaining other offers, which I thought was a ridiculous comment. Most job applicants will be applying to many jobs and have multiple interviews concurrently, so to be offended that I was "entertaining other offers" felt like a pretty immature and inexperienced response to a salary negotiation. In the end they kept their offer to me as it was but I decided to go with the other offer because their attitude really turned me off of them.
