Interview
Interview process was very positive - Broken up into two parts, a group interview portion and a 1 on 1 portion. In the group portion we were divided into groups of about 3/4 people and were put together with a current mecca employee/manager. We were then given a short brief as a group with the main topic being a specific mecca product and we were basically asked questions about how we would sell the product to a potential customer using the information that we were given on the brief about the products benefits as well as the customers needs.
We were then called in a few people at a time for the 1 on 1 interviews, where we were paired up with a mecca employee in a seperate room. The interview questions seemed pretty standard and the employees all seemed extremely nice and easy to talk to. We then left with a small gift and were told that we would hear back via email in 7 days time regardless as to whether or not we were successful.
I got an email requesting the contact information of my references on the same day as my interview (i don’t believe they actually contacted them though) and 9 days after the interview I got the email letting me know that I was successful.

Think of a time you went above and beyond for a customer, what did you do?
1-1 interview asking regular interview questions. They also sent questions and information to prepare before hand which made it easier luckily.
I went into the store and then they took me up to a cafe in the shopping centre it was nice and casual
Enter a private hotel booking function room, the room was small thus difficult to hear others in your own team interview. There’s at least 8 groups interviewing all at once in small room. The next part is 1on1 in the next door room where, the like 9-12 tables, with 9-12 interviews set up in 3x3 or 4x3. Again difficult to hear interviewer.

Interview
Whole process took about 4 weeks.
Submitted my online application and 2 weeks later was invited to a 1:1 interview at the Mecca Store in Sydney.
Store manager interviewed me and she was lovely - super conversational and asked questions relating to the prompts in the initial email they sent.
That night I got an email asking for passport and reference checks.
6 days later I got offered the job and contract.
