I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Elmhurst, IL) in Apr 2015
Interview
Typical interview day -starts with a tour of the warehouse, then you meet with 3-4 different individuals. Generally consists of behavioral questions (strengths/weaknesses/etc). Nothing too difficult. Be prepared to make recommendations on the product catalog/website. The company does not expect you to know too much about the industry, but is more interested in problem-solving skills.

Interview
The recruiter called me and asked me general questions about my style and related management experience. She told me a little more about the position. The general management role involves working on business processes, projects, etc. I never heard back from the recruiter after the initial phone call.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr
Interview
A recruiter from McMaster-Carr contacted me and set up a phone interview. Even though I had sent my resume directly to the recruiter, she started the interview by asking whether I had sent my resume and then attempting to find it in her inbox. The disorganization was off-putting. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, with a resume walkthrough and some follow-up questions.
